Vibrate

Privacy Policy

Last updated November 2, 2026

Vibrate is made by Wonderland Software LLC ("Wonderland Software," "we," or "us"), based in Austin, Texas. This policy covers the Vibrate app and this website. It says what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

This website

This page does not ask for an email address. We do not use advertising cookies or our own analytics on this page.

Our hosting provider may keep ordinary connection logs, such as an IP address, the time, and the browser, to run and protect the site.

The app: what we collect

Account. When you create an account, we collect the phone number you use to sign in, the handle you choose, and the profile photo you add. We do not show your phone number to other people.

Posts and social activity. We store the posts, photos, captions, ratings, comments, and likes you submit, and the friend connections you make. We also store a public friend count.

Location (precise). If you allow location, we use it to center the map and to attach a place when you pin a post. When you pin a place, we store the precise location of that pin. That precise place can be shown to your friends with the post. We do not collect location in the background. You can refuse location in your phone's settings; pinning a place will not work without it. Do not pin a place you want to keep private (including your home or workplace).

Contacts. If you give Vibrate access to your contacts, the app sends the phone numbers in your address book to our servers to find people you know who are already on Vibrate. This can happen each time you open the app while access is on. We delete the uploaded numbers once matching is done and keep only the matches we find. We do not use your contacts for advertising. You can turn off contacts access in your phone's settings.

Notifications. If you allow notifications, we store a push token for this device so we can send them. Notifications include activity on your account, such as likes, comments, ratings, mentions, and friend requests, and reminders to post. You can turn notifications off in your phone's settings.

Camera and photos. The camera is used to capture a post. The photo library is used for a profile photo. You can refuse those permissions in your phone's settings. Some parts of the app will not work without them.

Photo safety checks. When you post a vibe, we may send its photo to an image-safety service. The service checks it for certain kinds of harmful content, such as adult or violent images, and returns safety scores. We keep those scores with the post. The check does not identify people in the photo.

Safety (reports and blocks). If you report a person, a post, or a comment, we store a report that names you as the reporter, the person you reported, and (when relevant) which post or comment, plus the time. Reports are used for abuse review. If you block someone, we store that block on your account so we can hide them and stop certain interactions both ways. You can unblock them in the app.

Product analytics. We use a first-party analytics provider to understand how features are used, such as when posts are published or notifications are opened. We design our analytics events so they do not include your phone number, the precise location of a pin, the text of your posts, or your photos. Our analytics provider may also collect standard device information and an approximate location based on IP address. We do not use analytics for cross-app tracking or advertising, and we do not sell personal information.

What other people can see

Other people who use Vibrate can see your handle, profile photo, posts, ratings, comments, likes, friend count, and a place you attach to a post (including the precise place when you pin one). Friends may also see copies of vibes you share with them that include that place. Do not pin a place you want to keep private. If someone who has your phone number in their contacts uses friend finding, Vibrate may suggest your profile to them.

If you share a vibe with everyone, people who do not use Vibrate can also see part of it on the web. See "Public vibes on the web" below.

Public vibes on the web

When you share a vibe with everyone, it is public. We publish it at a shareable link on this website that anyone can open without a Vibrate account. The page and its preview image can show the vibe's photo, its caption, your @handle, its rating, and basic details such as when it was posted. The public page does not show your phone number or the precise location of a pin.

Vibes you share only with friends are not published at a public link. A link to one shows only a general Vibrate page.

Link previews. When someone shares the link in another app, such as a messaging app or social network, that app may fetch the page and make its own preview with the photo, @handle, caption, and rating.

Search engines. We ask search engines not to index public vibe pages. Some search engines or other services may not follow that request, and a public vibe can still be found through links to it or copies of it posted elsewhere.

Deleting or hiding a public vibe. When you delete a public vibe or change it so it is no longer shared with everyone, or when we remove it, we stop showing it at its link on our site. Its photo or preview image may stay in this website's cache for a short period after that. Copies other people already made, link previews already created in other apps, and copies held by search engines or other third-party services may remain longer, and those are outside our control.

Why we use it

We use this information to run Vibrate, show posts to other people, help you find friends, authenticate your phone, send notifications, measure and improve the product, and keep the service safe. We also use it to enforce our terms, investigate abuse, and meet a legal duty.

To keep Vibrate safe, we may check posted photos automatically. If a check flags a photo, we may hide the post automatically, before anyone reviews it. If you think we got it wrong, email tag@vibrate.world with your handle and which post, and we will review it.

Who else receives it

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context advertising.

Service providers process it for us under our instructions. Cloud infrastructure providers store accounts, posts, and files. Our authentication and SMS provider sends sign-in codes and verifies your phone. Our analytics provider processes the product analytics described above. Our hosting provider serves this website, including public vibe pages and their preview images. App distribution and push notification services deliver the app and its notifications. An image-safety service checks posted photos. These providers may process the information in the United States.

We may disclose information if the law, a court, or the government requires it, or if we believe disclosure is needed to protect someone, to investigate abuse, or to defend our rights. If Wonderland Software is sold or merged, this information can transfer with the business.

How long we keep it

We keep account information while the account is open. Uploaded contact numbers are deleted once matching is done, apart from brief backup copies. We keep precise place data on a pin while that post or shared copy exists, unless you delete it or your account. Reports may be kept as long as needed to investigate abuse and meet a legal duty; blocks last until you unblock.

Safety scores stay with the post and are deleted when the post is deleted. Copies in our system logs are kept for a limited time.

When you delete your account, we delete your account and profile, your posts and their photos and pins, and your comments and ratings. Some information can remain after deletion: backups for a limited time, copies other people already received, safety records such as reports and blocks, your handle, which we hold briefly so no one else can claim it right away, and records we must keep for a legal duty or claim. Link previews and cached copies of public vibes can also remain for a period of time, as described in "Public vibes on the web."

Children

Vibrate is not for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect the information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot promise that it is.

Your requests (including Texas)

You can delete your account in the app. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, by emailing tag@vibrate.world. If you are a Texas resident (or another place that gives you privacy rights), we will honor those rights as the law requires, including applicable rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act. We may need to confirm that the request is yours. If we deny a request where the law requires an appeal, we will tell you how to appeal.

We do not sell personal data or process it for targeted advertising as those terms are commonly defined in state privacy laws. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and provide any required opt-out.

Sensitive data. Precise geolocation is sensitive. We process it to provide place pins you choose to create. You control that through the location permission and by choosing what to pin.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page will change when we do. If we make a material change, we will tell you in the app or by another reasonable method before it takes effect.
